Software Recommendations
Some neat programs for your enjoyment. All are free. I use all of these on a regular or semi-regular basis and think they are awesome enough to be featured here.
Programs for Windows
screen recorder
free drawing/painting software
great video player with support multiple audio tracks, subtitles, etc.
amazing note-taking tool, i use it for uni
stream video files stored on your pc from any other device (including your smart tv, via the Plex app on your tv!).
adds posters, episode titles, etc if you follow their
file naming conventions.
record your screen and easily turn it into a gif, has basic gif editing features
remotely control your own or a friend's pc
audio mixer, makes it possible to connext 2 bluetooth earbuds/headphones to one device at the same time

Regarding files:
quickly change multiple file/folder names at once
e-book manager
great tool for backups (it automatically detects differences between two folders and only updates what is necessary, which means it takes 1 minute instead of 1 hour to transfer
files!)
convert video files (file type, quality, etc)
quickly see which folders/files on your pc take up the most space. great for making space on your hard drive or preparing for a backup.
Firefox Add-ons
Some/Most of these are probably also available for other Browsers.

adds a 'translate with google translate' option to the right-click menu

Phone Detox
For those of you who want to become less addicted to your phone:

blocks all tiktoks, youtube shorts, and instagram reels
